Shader — soft fills and gradients
A wide, soft-edged tip for smooth black-and-grey packing. Build value in passes instead of one heavy stroke, the way a magnum shades skin.
Whip / pepper — fast tapers
Strokes that thin out quickly at the exit, used for whip shading, pepper texture and blackwork transitions.
Dotwork — stipple texture
A stamp engine scatters individual dots across a band. Area width controls the spread, stamp size controls the dot itself, so density never turns into a solid line.
Fill tool — flat black in one click
The bucket tool fills any closed shape with the active ink and slips the colour underneath existing linework, so outlines and inner details stay untouched. Shortcut B.
Mandala and geometric symmetry
Turn on mirror mode and pick 2, 4, 6 or 8 segments: one stroke is repeated around the centre in real time. Segments can be changed mid-drawing, so a simple rosette can grow into a full geometric sleeve panel without redrawing anything.
Canvas presets for body parts and print
New projects open a Photopea-style dialog: pick a placement size (forearm, sleeve, back, chest), a print format such as A4 or A5 at 300 DPI, a screen or social size, or type your own width, height and DPI.
Graphics tablets and stylus support
Supported pens can supply pressure through your browser’s Pointer Events API. Compatibility depends on the device, driver and browser. Check the pressure readout, or use the mouse pressure test without a tablet.
Local files or optional cloud projects
Your projects save in the browser automatically. Sign in and open a guest project to also save it to your account. Account projects start private. Download a .drawink file for a portable backup.

- Yes. The drawing tools, layers and PNG exports are free. You can start without an account, and exports have no watermark.
- Does it work with a graphics tablet?
- DRAWINK reads pressure from compatible pen devices through browser Pointer Events. Support depends on the tablet, driver and browser. You can also draw with a mouse or test simulated pressure without a tablet.
- Where are my drawings stored?
- Guest projects save automatically in this browser. Signed-in projects also save to your account when connected. You can download a .drawink backup; clearing browser data removes browser-only projects.
- Can I draw mandalas and geometric tattoos?
- Yes. Mirror mode supports 2, 4, 6 and 8 segments and can be changed at any point in a drawing.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. DRAWINK is a web app — open it in Chrome or Edge and start drawing. Chromium browsers also allow live autosave to a real file.
- Can I export my design for printing?
- Yes, you can export a high-resolution PNG of the artboard at any time.
- How is DRAWINK different from a general drawing app?
- The brush set, mirror modes and export defaults are built around tattooing: liner, shader, whip and dotwork behave like needle groupings rather than generic illustration presets.
- Can I install DRAWINK on my phone or tablet?
- Yes. Use your browser’s install or Add to Home Screen option when available. Previously cached pages may open offline; account syncing and AI generation need an internet connection.
- Does it work offline?
- After installing the web app, previously cached pages may open offline. Drawing and browser saving do not need a connection; account syncing and AI references need internet access. Keep a downloaded backup for important work.
- Is there an AI tattoo generator?
- Yes. The inspiration page generates reference artwork from a style, motif and placement so you have a starting point before drawing the real design yourself.
- Is there a fill or paint bucket tool?
